Letting go

You finally forgot all the wickedness of your family when even the memories within your cells have been cleansed. It's a long process. It includes wiping away every memory that keeps popping up shouting at you: "Look what have they done to you!" - "Look what you allowed them!" - "Look how blind you were!" The thing is that you did see the wickedness, but you couldn't believe they were so malevolent. "It's family: they can't wish me bad... " In reality: they can!  Exactly your very own parents, siblings, or children can often incarnate very hostile presences. An this is a tremendous reality to metabolise. Within, you can firmly choose to let everything go. Little by little you begin to perceive a feeling in your body, some kind of inner movement, as if the subtle body were slowly slipping out from a tight inner membrane, that was completely enveloping you. And you feel like becoming lighter and lighter... Until you are ...

At any cost?

You wanted to win at any cost. You needed to win... And so you embraced any lie, any nasty, malign, evil-minded deed, fraud, betrayal... in order to be triumphant!

And eventually you succeeded. And yet your triumph had already begun to badly smell, far before you reached your personal victory. But you couldn't let it go.

Giving up meant losing face, your respectable reputation, revealing to the whole world your real petty falsehood... And you could not do it: because you always present yourself as a vassal of an honour, which, in reality, you have never known. A small petty thief since your childhood.

A German saying states: "Was Hänschen nicht lernt, lernt Hans nimmermehr!": if someone doesn't learn something at a young age, he won't ever learn it! Sooo true!

And here you are now victorious, indeed.
While I realised I was embarking in a long war. I had all the rights and the proper papers to demonstrate them. But at what price? I have a good life, I have all I need, now. Why embitter my existence dealing with such a cheap thug like you and ruin my life?

This in any case was going to be a Pyrrhic victory. And I preferred to concede you this achievement. Because a Pyrrhic victory, in spite of the success, in reality it cries out the deep moral failure that one has undergone to reach it.

Life will take care of you. And karma will ask you for the bill with interest!
