Incredulously Watching the Sink

My feelings towards the USA are extremely conflicting... Actually they are deep ambivalent because I can't come to terms with the growing visceral sense of disgusted disbelief!  I once deeply esteemed the States for their perceived inner freedom. Substantially, this freedom, is not because they are innately better than us in Europe, but because they do not carry the weight of such a long and heavy past. In these mornings, out of my kitchen window, I can see the sickle moon and a beautifully shining planet. Stars pulsate, planets are fixed. The most shining planets are Jupiter and Venus. If they are together in the sky you see that Jupiter is the brightest. But now, although still near, I can't see Jupiter because the horizon is filled with the trees of the little park in front with behind some houses, not big ones, 3 floors buildings, as all the houses of this area, nevertheless enough to hide the sky at the horizon.
