Well, these people have exactly the same right as the people who, on the contrary, know what they are talking about. Clearly, it doesn't mean they all will have the same opinion. Perceptions and understanding may vary. But whatever their thought about the topic, it is the result of knowing and having reflected about it. Different thoughts and perception may discuss and argue, but ultimately enrich both parts. There is a common ground given by their knowledge.
Henrik Ibsen, in his book "An Enemy of the People" wrote:
"The majority is never right. Never, I tell you! That's one of these lies in society that no free and intelligent man can help rebelling against. Who are the people that make up the biggest proportion of the population - the intelligent ones or the fools?"
And Bertrand Russel, who is one of my very best favourite thinker claimed: "A stupid man's report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand."
The Democrats won this midterm election. I think the entire world had a sigh of relief. The hallucinogenic Trump dominance comes to an end. We have all been turned around by his foolishness. Each nation had to rethink their values and goals, and distinguish themselves from the new tyrants emerged together with Trump. In an era where evidently money prevailed over justice, each of us had to review their own values. At least the ones who don't belong to the mob's empty mentality.
New alliences have been made.
I know that it will take time to reach a new balance, recover some kind of harmony and, most of all, some new hope for our future. It won't be an easy path. Nevertheless there is a new path ahead, now.
My hope is that all the silly foolish people who were inflamed by the truculent Trump rhetoric, learned something through that horrid experience they all had to go through in the States.
How on earth could someone trust a vile, rich and stupid man, visible and opulent by his own promotion... Yes he is rich, but at what cost?! Being rich is never a high degree in morality, justice, sympathy. New money is often, far too often, the result of a predatory attitude.
"Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone." [John Maynard Keynes (1883–1946), British economist]
Stupidity is disheartening. No communication is possible. Above all: it is dangerous. And we are powerless.
"People think it must be fun to be a super genius, but they don't realize how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world."
[Calvin and Hobbes quotes]
